Hey Artist,

When I first started painting I had no talent.

In fact, when I gained some skill, my mom didn't believe that the drawings I showed her were my own until I sat down in front of her and created before her eyes. 

But I loved to create, so I kept going.

Along the way, I went to 2 art schools, earning a BFA and graduated without a clue on how to run an art business and feeling less inspired to paint that when I showed up on my first day freshman year. I ended up working a 9-5 at a bank until one day I had an art show at a local restaurant that changed my life. I met an art dealer and started working in the decor market. 

Later, I left the decor "sweat shop" where we pumped out painting after painting to work directly with an art dealer I'd met. My husband and I went on to collaborate on and sell over 10,000 paintings in the decor market, and 100s more through fine art galleries later. 

After spending years in the elusive art industry, artist friends would ask how to do it. "How do I actually start a career as an artist?" And after teaching a workshop here and there, then running more intense bootcamps, I finally developed the Mastery Program to be the ultimate solution for artists looking to develop their skills so that they can create truly beautiful art, find their own unique process through experimentation, create a cohesive portfolio of art that tells their individual story and learn the strategies I used to create a successful career. 

Little did I know my daughter Dimitra Milan would turn into a world-wide sensation in the art world, gaining hundreds of thousands of followers and selling to collectors around the world. With our unique experiences, combined with her husband Jake Dunn's digital marketing and business savvy and my husband John Milan's unique techniques, we've revolutionized what it means to get an art education. 

What started as a small school in the middle of Queen Creek, Arizona has turned into a world-wide movement of artists seeking to find themselves through art and for some, to turn their passion into a profession.
