There are absolutely no requirements, you don’t even have to know how to draw a stick figure. You'll learn how to do much more than that, and it’ll be a fun process of learning and experimenting.

Yes, you can. However, because the Mastery Program has a rigorous curriculum, we recommend that you participate in challenges after you’ve completed all Mastery Program assignments.

There will be opportunities to join in-person events, such as conferences and workshops, but the club is exclusively hosted online. It’s better this way because you can join and participate from your home and at any time that you want!

In order to join, you must be 18 years or older. If you are 13 years or older, you may join, but only with parental consent. Children under the age of 13 will have to wait until they turn 13.

It can take up as much or as little time as you want. There will be several hour's worth of content delivered to you every month, but the amount of time you spend creating is completely up to you. For your own mental health, we recommend creating art for at least 5 hours a week.

In order to have the best experience possible, we recommend that you have some oil paint, acrylic paint, brushes, mediums for your oil paint, and canvas at the least. If you are having trouble finding the right supplies, we made a special kit for Art Club members here.

It is totally acceptable to become a member and not participate in challenges. However, we believe that participating will help you experience a lot of growth as an artist, so it will be to your benefit to try out the challenges.

Yes, you can. The downside to this is that you won’t be able to participate in the challenges and will miss the opportunity to win. Also, art moves quickly. The art world is ever-evolving and missing a month might mean you miss out on the birth of a brand new trend in the art world.

For every challenge, there are 5 winners. The grand prize is the community prize of $500 determined by the painting that received the most votes from the Art Club members. Next, we have 4 prizes of $125 determined by the team here at Milan Art in the following categories: theme, skills, uniqueness, and sellability. These categories are the same categories that the artists in our reality show “The Outstanding Artist” were judged on, categories that we believe make a good painting. 

If you live in the US or a region where PayPal is accepted, then that is our preferred method of payout or Zelle. However, if you are unable to accept that, we can use Xoom to do an international bank transfer, but the fees will be deducted from your prize.

How you want to use your membership is up to you. You do not have to be an active artist. You could just participate in the challenges by voting for your favorite artists to win or participate in the interesting discussions on our forums.

Art Club only teaches visual art, but of course, there are overlaps in theories between all forms of art, so it would be beneficial for any type of artist, whether you’re a poet, painter, musician, or photographer.

Yes, you can. As soon as you cancel, you will have access until the next billing period. However, you will not be permitted to participate in the challenges as soon as you cancel your membership.

The challenges are exactly what they sound like: challenges meant to activate your creativity with creating art. Every month there is a new theme and a challenge surrounding that theme that you can participate in. For example, in one month a challenge might be to create a non-objective abstract painting on a canvas at least 18”x24”. Once you participate in the challenge and submit it by sharing a picture of it via our guidelines, you’ll be entered to win cash prizes and art supply care packages!
